As a Calgary wedding photographer and a documentarian, I feel it is my privilege and passion to capture memories that are true and authentic to you and your love story. Stories are the fabric of our culture, how we connect the present to the past and future. I believe everyone’s story is unique and has tremendous value. Your wedding day is the first chapter in your new family’s story.
My love for storytelling began as a journalist working as a writer and photographer in the newspaper world. Now, I find inspiration in my wedding photography from long-form photojournalism. I approach every wedding day with an eye for the small details and fleeting moments that create your story.
In 2014, I began training my husband Kris as my second shooter. He’s artistic by nature, so it didn’t take long for him dive right in. We love being able work together and love to challenge each other.
When we are not at a wedding, we often end up at some small venue downtown listening to obscure music since Kris is also a musician. My favourite week of the year is the Sled Island Music Festival in June, where I work 5 days straight with little sleep, on their Photo Crew. I love to escape in my knitting and crochet projects, a good book, or a relaxing hot yoga class.
